Sue & Paul's Alaska Travel Adventure
Day 11,  Seward to Wasilla (5/24)
In Seward, we drove down to Lowell's point which is a road that runs along the bay.  A couple miles from Seward, the road ends at an eclectic group of cottages, cabins and shacks.  Many of them are on stilts, I guess the tide can get quite high in this area.  We drove on toward and beyond Anchorage.  As you get close to Anchorage the two lane highway changes to a 4 lane with a divider and runs along the shore of Cook inlet for about 30 miles.  The sun was shining and it was a very pleasant drive.  We drove through Anchorage which is like any other part of America, with four lane roads, traffic, strip malls, and all the rest of the stuff that makes up urban America.
We arrived in Wasilla (about an hour north of Anchorage) around 6 pm.  Our cottage was at Tollers Timbers and included a washer,  dryer and cable TV. We got all our clothes washed and watched the final 'Mad about You' and 'Ali Mcbeal'.
